Biography:
Hans van Helden
Freelance Visual Effects & Post Production Supervisor
After graduating as a filmeditor in 1997, Hans quickly moved on to post production supervision. In 2000, when working closely with Oscar winning visual effects supervisor Tim McGovern, Hans decided to specialize in visual effects supervision.
With more then 12 years experience in film, Hans is up-to-date on both traditional and the latest technologies in film
including RED workflow, DCI specs and Stereography (3D).
Recent projects include Amphibious 3D (Brian Yuzna), Winter in Wartime (Martin Koolhoven), The Tournament (Scott Mann) and Black Book (Paul Verhoeven)
When hired as post production supervisor, Hans has full responsibility over
the post production process, from budgeting and scheduling to supervising the
editing, music, sound, laboratory, grading and foreign delivery elements. All to delivery standards for territories worldwide.
As a consequence of his frequent work on international co-productions, Hans has lived and worked in different cities all over the world, particularly in London where he has finished seven films. Hans holds dual passports, both for the EC (The Netherlands) and the USA.
